I am Des Brookes, a versatile and expressive Isle of Man artist. My work is created from a broad brush of materials and painting surfaces, including: Water colours, Acrylics, Pastels, Apoxy resin, Pencil Drawings, Graphite, 3D in clay, metal, wood, cloth.

My paintings are displayed at Nobles Hospital (just inside the main entrance, near the pharmacy).

I paint for pleasure and enjoy showing my various works of art on this site. Art is very subjective, and there will be artwork that you will think is good, whilst other paintings you will consider to be awful. That is the thrill of art, as everyone can make up their own mind on what they like and don’t like. I am not looking to making any profit from my paintings. I simply want to ensure that I have sufficient funds to replenish my stock of  art materials.
